Academics

During the 2020-2021 school year, Heritage embarked on a robust transformation to a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) focus. Instruction includes intentional STEM integration into core subjects and STEM electives. Students will have opportunities to become STEM literate, think critically and become leaders with a sense of discovery. Grading System

Students receive a letter grade at the end of each 9-week quarter. Heritage Academy does not weigh grades. GPA is cumulative and computed quarterly for all courses taken in which a letter grade is received. Heritage Academy uses a 4-point grading scale distributed as follows:

Courses designated Credit/No Credit (CR/NC) = Pass/No Pass.  These grades are not used to determine GPA.

Minnesota offers a dual-credit post-secondary enrollment program (PSEO) which allows qualified students to take courses at local colleges and universities. PSEO courses’ letter grades are included in GPA calculations.
